Ateljén

Ateljén is a Swedish term for a studio or workshop used by artists, designers, and craftspeople. It designates a space where creative work is produced, and where processes such as painting, sculpture, printmaking, fashion, or graphic design take place. The word comes from the French atelier, the workshop of an artist, historically a site of training and production.

Historically, the atelier functioned as both workshop and school, with a master directing techniques and guiding apprentices.
