Asumisoikeusyhtiö, often translated as housing right company, is a type of Finnish limited liability company that provides housing based on the right of occupancy. This system aims to offer affordable and stable housing options. Residents in an asumisoikeusyhtiö pay an occupancy fee, which is a one-time payment, and then a monthly housing cost. The occupancy fee is typically a fraction of the apartment's actual market value and is intended to cover the company's initial investment in the property. The monthly housing cost is generally lower than market-rate rents for comparable apartments.

The right of occupancy is not ownership; residents do not own the apartment they live in, nor can they sell it.
