Astralprojektion

Astral projection is a concept, often associated with esoteric beliefs and spiritual practices, that describes an out-of-body experience where a person's spirit or astral body is said to leave their physical body and travel in an astral plane. This plane is often described as a parallel dimension or a non-physical realm inhabited by spirits, energies, and other entities.

Proponents of astral projection believe that the astral body is connected to the physical body by a silver cord, which is a luminous thread that ensures the astral body can return safely. Techniques for inducing astral projection vary and often involve deep relaxation, meditation, visualization, and specific mental exercises. Common reported experiences include a feeling of floating, seeing one's own physical body from an external perspective, and traveling through different locations or even observing events from afar.

Skeptics often attribute astral projection experiences to psychological phenomena such as lucid dreaming, sleep paralysis, or hallucinations. Neurological explanations suggest that these experiences may arise from unusual brain activity, particularly during the transition states between wakefulness and sleep. While subjective accounts of astral projection are numerous, there is no scientific evidence to support its objective reality or the existence of a separate astral body or plane.
