Assynt
Assynt is a rural area and historic parish in the far north-west Highlands of Scotland, within the Highland council area. Located in Sutherland, it lies inland from the coast near the fishing town of Lochinver and forms part of the Assynt–Coigach National Scenic Area, designated for its dramatic landscapes and wide open spaces.
