Arbetsbenämning is a Swedish term that translates to "working title" or "job title in progress." It refers to a temporary or provisional name given to a role, project, or position before a final, official designation is decided. This can occur in various contexts, such as during the recruitment process, when defining a new role within an organization, or when a project's scope is still being finalized.

The purpose of an arbetsbenämning is to provide a clear, albeit temporary, identifier for the task or role at hand.
