Approbiert is a German adjective and past participle used chiefly in professional and legal contexts to indicate that a person has received an official state license (Approbation) to practise a regulated health profession. It is most commonly applied to physicians, dentists, pharmacists and psychotherapists: an "approbierter Arzt" is a doctor with full authorization to practise independently in Germany.
