Appelsínutré

Appelsínutré, scientifically known as Citrus × sinensis, is a small flowering evergreen tree of the family Rutaceae. It is a hybrid species, believed to have originated from a cross between the pomelo (Citrus maxima) and the mandarin (Citrus reticulata). The name "appelsínutré" is Icelandic for "orange tree".

These trees are widely cultivated for their fruit, the orange, which is a globally important crop. Oranges are characterized by their sweet, juicy flesh and leathery rind.
