Antitranspirantien
Antitranspirantien are products designed to reduce perspiration, primarily in areas like the underarms, hands, and feet. Unlike antiperspirants which also aim to reduce sweat, antitranspirants focus on blocking sweat ducts to prevent sweat from reaching the skin's surface. The primary active ingredients in most antitranspirants are aluminum-based compounds, such as aluminum chloride, aluminum zirconium, or aluminum chlorohydrate. These compounds react with sweat to form a temporary plug in the sweat glands.
The effectiveness of antitranspirants can vary among individuals. They are typically applied to clean, dry skin.
