Antardasha
Antardasha refers to a sub-period within a larger planetary period in Vedic astrology, also known as Vimshottari Dasha. The Vimshottari Dasha system divides a native's life into distinct periods ruled by nine planets. Each of these major planetary periods is further subdivided into smaller periods, which are the Antardashas. The sequence of Antardashas within a major Dasha mirrors the sequence of the major Dashas themselves. For instance, if the major Dasha is of the Sun, the Antardashas will follow the order of the planetary sequence starting with the Sun, Moon, Mars, Rahu, Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury, Ketu, and Venus. The specific timing and influence of an Antardasha are believed to reveal more nuanced events and experiences in a person's life during that particular phase. Astrologers analyze the planetary placements, aspects, and yogas within the birth chart in conjunction with the ongoing Antardasha to make predictions. The intensity of the influence of the major Dasha lord is modified by the Antardasha lord, creating a complex interplay of energies. Understanding the Antardasha is considered crucial for accurate astrological forecasting, as it provides a finer resolution for interpreting the planetary cycles that govern an individual's life.
