Anosmitosis
Anosmitosis is a term that has been used to describe a specific type of abnormal cell division. In normal cell division, a cell replicates its genetic material and then divides into two identical daughter cells. This process, known as mitosis, is tightly regulated and essential for growth and repair. Anosmitosis, however, refers to a situation where cell division occurs without the proper replication of genetic material. This can lead to daughter cells with an abnormal number of chromosomes, a condition known as aneuploidy.
