The An-148 is a twin-engine regional jet developed by Antonov Company of Ukraine. It is designed for short to medium-haul flights and is intended for operation on unpaved runways as well as conventional airports. The aircraft first flew in December 2004, and its development marked a significant step in the revival of the Ukrainian aircraft industry.
