Alkynylsilanes

Alkynylsilanes are organosilicon compounds featuring a carbon-carbon triple bond directly attached to a silicon atom. They are characterized by the general formula R3Si-C≡C-R', where R and R' represent alkyl, aryl, or other organic groups. The silicon atom is typically bonded to three other groups, which can be identical or different. The presence of the triple bond makes alkynylsilanes reactive species, prone to various addition reactions across the C≡C bond.
