Albicostella

Albicostella is a genus of marine gastropod mollusks within the family Pyramidellidae, commonly known as the pyrams and their allies. Species within this genus are characterized by their small, elongated, and often slender shells, which typically exhibit a smooth or subtly sculpted surface.

Members of Albicostella are distributed in marine environments, primarily in shallow to moderate depths. They are often found associated with sandy or muddy substrates where they may feed on microalgae or organic particles. Like other pyramidellids, Albicostella species are ectoparasites, frequently associating with other invertefbrates such as echinoderms or annelids, on which they may feed using a proboscis.
