Alaskites

Alaskites are a type of granite found in Alaska. They are characterized by their high quartz and alkali feldspar content, with relatively low amounts of mafic minerals. This mineralogical composition gives them a light color, typically ranging from white to pink or light gray. Alaskites are generally coarse-grained igneous rocks.
