Aktiveerimisribade
Aktiveerimisribade, often translated as activation strips or activation bands, are a common security feature found on retail products, particularly electronics and clothing. Their primary purpose is to prevent shoplifting. These strips are typically small, thin, and discreetly embedded within the product's packaging or attached to the item itself. When an item containing an active deactivation strip is taken through a point-of-sale system without being properly deactivated, it triggers an alarm at the store's exit.
There are two main types of activation strips used in retail security: radio frequency (RF) and acousto-magnetic
To prevent alarms when legitimate purchases are made, retail staff use deactivators at the checkout counter.
