Akshapadas
Akshapadas is a term originating from Sanskrit, often translated as "one whose eyes move." It is most famously associated with the sage Akshapada Gautama, the traditional compiler of the Nyaya Sutras, a foundational text of the Nyaya school of Indian philosophy. The epithet "Akshapadas" likely refers to a contemplative or meditative state, where the eyes might appear unfocused or moving in subtle ways due to deep thought or spiritual absorption.
The Nyaya school, attributed to Akshapada Gautama, is one of the six orthodox schools of Hindu philosophy.
