Ajovalot
Ajovalot, the Finnish term for headlights, are the front lighting system of motor vehicles. They illuminate the road ahead, help the driver detect obstacles, and make the vehicle visible to others. Most cars use two main functions: low beam headlights that provide adequate illumination without dazzling oncoming traffic, and high beam headlights for longer-range visibility in unrestricted conditions. In many markets, daytime running lights (DRLs) are also incorporated to improve daytime conspicuity.
Traditional ajovalot relied on halogen bulbs; modern systems increasingly use light-emitting diodes (LEDs) or high-intensity discharge
Adaptive headlights automatically adjust light distribution according to steering angle, speed, and sometimes weather or road
Headlights are subject to regulation governing color, intensity, alignment, and compliance with type-approval standards (for example
