Aftapstations
Aftapstations are dedicated points within process facilities designed for drawing off liquids from tanks or pipelines in a controlled manner. In Nordic industrial literature the term is used to describe a tap-off station or drain-off point, where liquids can be withdrawn for transfer, sampling, cleaning, or processing without opening main process lines. The concept is similar to what in English is commonly called a drain-off or sampling station, and it is used in various sectors including beverage production, chemical processing, oil and gas, and wastewater treatment.
Typical design and components include a valve manifold that allows isolation of the station from the main
Common applications cover decanting and sampling during routine operations, transfers during tank cleaning (CIP), and initiating
