Africanborn refers to individuals who were born in Africa, the world’s second-largest and second-most populous continent. The term encompasses people from diverse ethnic, linguistic, and cultural backgrounds, spanning over 54 sovereign nations. Africa is home to a wide array of landscapes, from the Sahara Desert in the north to the savannas of the Sahel and the rainforests of Central Africa, as well as coastal regions along the Mediterranean, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans.

The continent has a rich history, with ancient civilizations such as Egypt, Nubia, Carthage, and the Kingdom of Mali contributing significantly to global culture, science, and trade.
