Addressablenauhoille

Addressablenauhoille is a term used in nanotechnology to describe arrays of nanoscale pores or nanoholes in a solid substrate in which each hole can be individually addressed and controlled. In such devices, each nanohole is wired to a separate electrode or gated by local fields, enabling selective modulation of transport, binding, or sensing at the single-hole level.

Most architectures place nanoholes in a membrane or thin film with integrated micro- or nanoelectrodes linked to a multiplexed control circuit. Operation may involve electronic gating to regulate ionic current through each hole, functionalization of hole rims for molecular recognition, and real-time readout of conductance, fluorescence, or ion flux.

Fabrication methods include top-down approaches such as electron-beam lithography, focused ion beam milling, nanoimprint lithography, and self-assembly to create periodic arrays. Integration with microfluidics and CMOS readout enables high-throughput measurements while using small sample volumes.

Potential applications include single-molecule analysis, programmable transport control in lab-on-a-chip systems, DNA sequencing, protein detection, and selective filtration where each nanohole acts as an individual sensing element.

Advantages include precise control at the level of individual pores, high parallelism, and reduced sample consumption. Challenges involve fabrication complexity, electrical noise, surface fouling, stability in aqueous or harsh environments, and potential crosstalk between neighboring holes.
