Abivõitu

Abivõitu is an Estonian term that translates to "help victory" or "assist victory." It generally refers to a situation where a player or team achieves success, not solely through their own direct efforts, but with the significant assistance or contribution of another party. This assistance can manifest in various ways and is often observed in competitive scenarios.

In team sports, abivõitu can describe a win secured due to a crucial error or mistake by the opposing team, such as a penalty, an own goal, or a lapse in concentration at a critical moment. It can also refer to a victory where a player performs exceptionally well, but their performance is heavily reliant on the support of their teammates, who create opportunities or provide defensive cover.
