APKpaketit, literally "APK packages" in Finnish, refer to the Android Package Kit files that constitute the deployable unit of Android applications. Each APK file contains an app’s code, resources, assets, certificates, and manifest data. They are signed with a key that verifies the publisher and protects against tampering. APKpaketit are what users download from the Google Play Store, Samsung’s Galaxy Store, or alternative app markets, and what developers upload during the release process.
