ADAT liitännät, or ADAT interfaces, are a digital audio connection standard used primarily in professional audio and music production environments. ADAT stands for Alesis Digital Audio Tape, referencing the original digital multitrack recorders that popularized the format. The interface uses TOSLINK optical cables to transmit digital audio signals.
