387360 is a numbered minor planet located in the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. The object was first observed on 2 July 2005 by the LINEAR survey at Socorro, New Mexico, and was subsequently numbered by the Minor Planet Center. Its provisional designation is 2005 QH1. The asteroid orbits the Sun with a semi-major axis of about 2.5 astronomical units. The orbit has a relatively modest eccentricity of 0.12, bringing the object between 1.98 AU at perihelion and 3.07 AU at aphelion. Its orbital period is approximately 4.2 Earth years, and the inclination with respect to the ecliptic is modest, around 3 degrees.

Spectral analysis classifies 387360 as a C-type (carbonaceous) asteroid, indicating a composition rich in carbon and likely containing hydrated minerals. Photometric measurements place its diameter at roughly 5.5 kilometres, assuming a typical C-type albedo of about 0.06. The absolute magnitude of the asteroid is 15.8. Observations by the NEOWISE mission provided the albedo estimate and refined its size. The rotation period is not yet well determined, with sparse photometric data suggesting a period potentially on the order of several hours.

At present there is no indication that 387360 poses any threat to Earth. Its orbit remains well within the main belt, and its minimum orbital intersection distance with Earth is far beyond the threshold for any appreciable influence on terrestrial dynamics. Continued observations through the NEOWISE and Pan-STARRS surveys have supplied precise orbital elements, and future spectroscopic and radar studies could further elucidate its composition and surface properties.
