LINEAR conducted a systematic survey of the sky using a 1-meter telescope and CCD array, resulting in the discovery of thousands of minor planets including 110232.

The orbital elements of 110232 place it firmly in the main belt. Its semi‑major axis is approximately 2.52 astronomical units (AU), giving it a perihelion distance of 2.25 AU and an aphelion of 2.79 AU. The asteroid follows a typical S‑type orbit, reflecting the mixed composition of silicate and metallic materials common to main-belt bodies.

Photometric measurements indicate an absolute magnitude of 17.8, from which the diameter is estimated to lie between 3 and 4 kilometers, assuming an albedo typical of stony asteroids. Rotational lightcurve data for 110232 is sparse; no definitive rotation period or pole orientation has been established yet.
