Ölversiegelungen

Ölversiegelungen, also known as oil seals or rotary shaft seals, are components used to prevent leakage of lubricating oil from machinery or to prevent contaminants from entering. They are typically made of a flexible material, such as rubber or polyurethane, and are designed to form a tight seal around a rotating shaft.

The primary function of an oil seal is to create a barrier between a rotating shaft and a stationary housing. Oil seals work through a combination of a flexible sealing lip and a garter spring. The lip is designed to press against the rotating shaft with a controlled amount of interference.
