Õppeasutus is an Estonian term for an educational institution—a body that organizes and provides formal education and related services. In Estonian, õppeasutus denotes the entity itself, while õppeasutuse is the genitive form used in phrases like “the role of an educational institution” or “the standards of the educational institution.” An õppeasutus can organize curricula, supervise learning processes, assess learners, and issue diplomas or certificates upon completion.
