äänipamauksena
Äänipamauksena, often translated as "sonic boom" in English, is the sound observed and heard when an object travels through the air faster than the speed of sound. This phenomenon occurs because the object outruns the pressure waves it creates. As the object moves at supersonic speeds, these pressure waves are compressed and coalesce into a shock wave. This shock wave propagates outwards from the object, and when it reaches an observer on the ground, it is perceived as a sudden, loud sound resembling an explosion or a clap of thunder.
The characteristic "boom" is not a continuous sound but rather a single event associated with the passage
