Áramirányt is a Hungarian term that translates to "current direction" in English. Conventionally, there are two ways to define current direction: conventional current and electron flow.

Conventional current, established by historical convention, defines the direction of current as the direction in which positive charges would flow. This is from the positive terminal to the negative terminal of a voltage source. This convention is widely used in circuit analysis and is the basis for many electrical laws and theorems.

Electron flow, on the other hand, reflects the actual physical movement of charge carriers in most conductors. In metals, the charge carriers are electrons, which are negatively charged. Therefore, electrons flow from the negative terminal to the positive terminal of a voltage source. While electron flow describes the true physical process, conventional current is generally preferred for its simplicity in circuit calculations.
