Ümbermõõdringide is a term found primarily in Estonian sociolinguistics and cognitive science, referring to the cognitive process by which individuals adjust and home in on the size, quantity, or intensity of an object or phenomenon through repeated perception and revision. The concept is derived from the Estonian words "ümber" (around) and "mõõrad" (measure), conveying the idea of a repeated measuring or re‑measuring cycle that changes an individual’s internal estimate of the quantity.
