Önérzékenység

Önérzékenység, often translated as self-sensitivity or ego sensitivity, refers to a psychological concept describing an individual's heightened awareness and concern about their own self-image and how they are perceived by others. It is characterized by a strong need for external validation and a tendency to be easily hurt by criticism, perceived slights, or perceived rejections. Individuals with high önérzékenység may often ruminate on past interactions, interpreting neutral or ambiguous social cues as negative reflections on themselves.

This trait is not necessarily indicative of a mental disorder, but rather a dimension of personality. It can manifest in various ways, including defensiveness, a tendency to take things personally, an overemphasis on personal achievements, or a fear of failure.
