Élviláguk

Élviláguk is a term encountered in Hungarian-language speculative fiction to denote the collective system of life-bearing realms within a broader cosmology. The name combines élvilág, meaning living world, with the possessive suffix -uk, producing “their living worlds” or, more loosely, “the living worlds of these peoples.”

The core idea describes multiple worlds that sustain themselves through a shared life-energy and ecological links. These worlds are not wholly separate; they exchange energy, matter, and information through gateways, bridges, or seasonal alignments. The Élviláguk is thus conceived as a dynamic biosphere network rather than a single planet or realm.

In narrative use, the Élviláguk provides a backdrop for themes such as ecological stewardship, interworld diplomacy, and the ethics of life. Characters may act as guardians or stewards, regulating the flow of life-energy, mediating conflicts over resource usage, or exploring the ontological status of life across worlds. The concept often serves as a frame for worldbuilding, offering explanations for how disparate realms influence one another and how life evolves under shared ecological laws.
