Åfjord
Åfjord is a municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the Fosen peninsula, about 70 kilometers northwest of the city of Trondheim. The municipality was established in 1838 and its administrative center is the village of Årnes. The area is characterized by its coastal landscape, with fjords, islands, and mountains. Agriculture and fishing have historically been important industries in Åfjord.
The municipality covers an area of 1,777 square kilometers and has a population of around 3,300 people.
