Átskálázása

Átskálázása is a Hungarian term that translates to "rescaling" or "re-scaling" in English. It refers to the process of adjusting the size or dimensions of an object, image, or data set. This can be done in various contexts, including digital imaging, data analysis, and scientific research.

In digital imaging, átskálázása commonly involves resizing an image. This might be done to make a large image fit within a specific display area, reduce file size for faster loading, or prepare it for printing at a different resolution. The process can involve either increasing the number of pixels (upscaling) or decreasing the number of pixels (downscaling). Different algorithms exist to perform these operations, each with varying impacts on image quality.

In data analysis and machine learning, átskálázása is crucial for preparing datasets. Features with vastly different scales can disproportionately influence model performance. Rescaling techniques like normalization (scaling to a range, e.g., 0 to 1) or standardization (scaling to have a mean of 0 and a standard deviation of 1) are employed to bring all features to a comparable scale.
