Államisághoz refers to the concept of statehood or the condition of being a state within the context of political science and international law. It encompasses the defining characteristics and attributes that collectively constitute a sovereign entity. A fundamental aspect of államisághoz is the presence of a government that exercises effective control over a defined territory and its population. This government must possess the authority to legislate, administer justice, and maintain internal order.

While these criteria are generally accepted, debates can arise regarding their interpretation and application in specific contexts, particularly concerning states that may not fully meet all conditions or those undergoing significant political transitions. The recognition by other states is also often considered a crucial, albeit not always legally binding, factor in establishing and solidifying államisághoz.
