Zbrzditi is a small town and commune in the fictional country of Veridia, located in the Veridian Plain near the Zbran River. With a population of about 2,300 as of 2020, it covers roughly 4.6 square kilometers. The town functions as a rural hub for surrounding farms and several small workshops.

Geography and climate: The landscape is gently rolling, with patches of deciduous forest to the north and cultivated fields to the south. The climate is temperate, with warm summers and cool winters, and average annual precipitation around 700 millimeters.

History: Zbrzditi is first mentioned in medieval charters dating to 1193, referring to a weekly market and a chapel. The settlement grew around agriculture and the parish church. In the 19th century a small railway line arrived, linking Zbrzditi to larger towns and encouraging crafts and trade. After World War II, road improvements and schooling programs further integrated the town with regional economies.

Economy: Agriculture remains central, especially dairy farming and grain production. Small-scale wood milling, a family-run textile workshop, and, more recently, rural tourism contribute to the local economy. Visitors are drawn to the surrounding trails and the town’s historic core.

Culture and landmarks: The Parish Church of the Holy Cross, dating from the 15th century, stands in the central square. A modest fountain, a weekly market, and a local festival in late September highlight community life. Local crafts include pottery and woodwork.

Notable people: Among residents are the poet Elin Drazic and the woodworker Jaro Mirk, both associated with regional cultural groups.
