Wulfa is a fictional creature from The Legend of Zelda video game series, first appearing in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998). It is a small, bird-like creature with a distinctive red and white plumage, resembling a mix between a hummingbird and a small bird. Wulfa are known for their ability to mimic sounds and voices, often repeating phrases or songs they hear, though their speech is often distorted or nonsensical.

In Ocarina of Time, Wulfa are found in the Hyrule Field and serve as companions to Link, particularly in the Kokiri Forest. They are also encountered in the Kokiri Temple, where they play a role in the temple’s mechanics. Wulfa are generally harmless and appear to be curious or playful, occasionally interacting with Link in lighthearted ways.

Later entries in the series, such as Breath of the Wild (2017), introduce variations of Wulfa, including the Wulfin, which are larger and more aggressive, and the Wulfr, a hybrid form that resembles a bird with a wolf-like face. These creatures are often found in the wild and can be encountered in various environments across Hyrule.

While Wulfa are not typically considered a major threat, their ability to mimic sounds can sometimes lead to humorous or confusing interactions. Their role in the games is mostly comedic or decorative, though they occasionally contribute to gameplay by providing environmental clues or sound effects.
