Värikomponentti is a Finnish term that translates to "color component" in English. It refers to an individual channel or value that contributes to the representation of a specific color. In digital imaging and color theory, colors are often described as a combination of primary components. The most common color models utilize additive or subtractive mixing, and the värikomponentti represents the intensity or proportion of each of these primary colors.

For example, in the RGB color model, which is widely used for displays and digital screens, a color is defined by the intensity of its red, green, and blue components.
