The väestötietorekisteri (population register) is Finland’s central administrative database that records information about all residents in Finland. Maintained by the Digital and Population Data Agency (Digiro), it serves as the official register of all individuals with a Finnish personal identity code (henkilötunnus). The register includes basic personal details such as name, date of birth, place of residence, and citizenship status, as well as information on family relationships, such as marriages, divorces, and children.
