Vilppasi is a small village situated in the municipality of Nurmijärvi in the Uusimaa region of southern Finland. The settlement lies approximately 30 kilometres north of the capital city of Helsinki, along a minor road that connects Nurmijärvi to the neighboring municipality of Kerava. The village is bordered by a mixture of pine forests and agricultural land, and it is located near the banks of the Jäviönjoki river, which provides a water source for local farms and contributes to the area’s scenic landscape.

The population of Vilppasi is modest, with about 150 residents recorded in the most recent municipal census.
