Vibrationsbord, often translated as vibration table, is a laboratory or industrial device designed to apply controlled vibratory motion to a specimen or assembly. The platform is typically used to study how a product behaves under dynamic loads, to characterize resonant frequencies and damping, or to qualify components for reliability under vibration. In English-language contexts the term vibration table is common; in Scandinavian technical literature vibrational board components may use the local term vibrationalbord.

Construction and operation: A vibrationsbord consists of a rigid base plate mounted on one or more actuators, typically electrodynamic shakers or piezoelectric actuators, which produce vertical, horizontal, or multi-axis motion. A control system, often including a signal generator and a power amplifier, drives the actuators to follow a prescribed vibration profile. Feedback sensors such as accelerometers and force transducers monitor the response and ensure accurate motion. The table may include fixtures to clamp the test item, and vibration isolation to damp external disturbances. In larger facilities, multi-axis platforms or servo-hydraulic shakers are used for higher loads and broader frequency ranges.

Applications and testing configurations: Used for modal testing, structural dynamics studies, component and product qualification, electronics reliability testing, and automotive or aerospace part testing. Common tests include sine sweep to locate resonances, random vibration to simulate a broad spectrum of operational loads, and shock or life-cycle profiles. Standards and procedures reference IEC 60068, MIL-STD-810, and related environmental or reliability testing guidelines. Limitations include payload capacity, frequency range, and the need for proper mounting, calibration, and safety protocols.
