Vetyioni is a fictional language developed for speculative fiction and worldbuilding. It is described as the native tongue of the Vetyioni people, who inhabit the northern archipelago of Nahar in the imagined continent of Valara. In the narrative, Vetyioni is used in education, administration, media, and daily conversation, with a standardized form and several regional dialects.

Classification and phonology: Vetyioni is generally treated as a language isolate with loan blending from neighboring trade languages. The phonemic system comprises five vowels (a, e, i, o, u) and about thirty consonants, including stops, nasals, fricatives, and a single trill. The language employs syllable structure (C)(C)(V)(C) and uses stress on the penultimate syllable. Vowel length is not phonemic.

Grammar and writing: Vetyioni follows a subject–object–verb order. Nouns inflect for case (nominative, accusative, dative, genitive) and number, while adjectives typically follow the noun. Verbs encode aspect and mood through affixed suffixes; tense is often expressed with auxiliary verbs or adverbs. The script is an alphabet of about 24 letters derived from a regional writing system; diacritics mark vowel length and stress. There are standard orthographic conventions for official texts.
