Veserészekció, also known as renal resection or partial nephrectomy, is a surgical procedure to remove a portion of a kidney. This is most commonly performed to treat kidney tumors, particularly those that are small and localized. The goal of veserészekció is to preserve as much healthy kidney tissue as possible, thereby maintaining renal function.

The procedure can be performed using open surgery or minimally invasive techniques, such as laparoscopic or robotic-assisted surgery.
