This offer is typically time-sensitive, meaning the individual must respond within a short, predetermined period to accept or decline the housing opportunity. The short notice is a defining characteristic of a ventetilbud. It requires the recipient to make a quick decision about whether the offered accommodation meets their needs and circumstances. If the offer is declined, or if the recipient fails to respond within the allocated time, they usually forfeit their place on the waiting list for that specific opportunity and may return to their original position or be removed entirely, depending on the specific rules of the housing provider.
