vastinparin
Vastinparin is a hypothetical anticoagulant agent described in pharmacology literature and speculative discussions. It is characterized as a sulfated polysaccharide with anticoagulant activity analogous to heparin, but distinct in its proposed structural features and pharmacokinetic profile. In proposed mechanisms, vastinparin binds to antithrombin III, accelerating inactivation of thrombin (factor IIa) and factor Xa, and may also interact with other serine proteases in the coagulation cascade. Some models suggest additional interactions with endothelial cells and cofactors that could modulate thrombin generation and fibrinolysis.
In pharmacokinetic terms, hypothetical vastinparin is described as a high–molecular-weight polymer that could be administered subcutaneously
Clinical status: Vastinparin has no approved clinical indications. It remains a topic of theoretical discussion, in
