Valonäkö, also known as photopic vision, refers to the vision that occurs in bright light conditions. It is mediated by cone cells in the retina, which are responsible for color perception and high visual acuity. When light levels are high, cone cells are stimulated, allowing us to see a wide range of colors and fine details. This is in contrast to scotopic vision, which is responsible for vision in low light conditions and is mediated by rod cells.
