Võrguseade refers to any piece of hardware that is part of a computer network or is used to connect devices to a network. This broad category encompasses a wide range of devices, each with specific functions that enable communication and data transfer between computers and other network-enabled devices.

Common examples of võrguseadmed include routers, which direct data traffic between different networks, and switches, which connect multiple devices within a local area network (LAN). Network interface cards (NICs), often built into computers or added as separate components, are essential for allowing devices to communicate over a network. Modems are used to translate digital signals from a computer into analog signals for transmission over telephone lines or cable, and vice versa, facilitating internet access.

Wireless access points (WAPs) provide wireless connectivity, allowing devices to join a network without physical cables. Firewalls, whether hardware-based or software-based, are critical for network security, monitoring and controlling incoming and outgoing network traffic based on predetermined security rules.
