The pathogenesis of uratnefropati involves the accumulation of uric acid in the kidneys, leading to crystal formation and deposition in the renal interstitium and parenchyma. Over time, this can cause chronic inflammation, fibrosis, and loss of renal function. The condition may be asymptomatic in its early stages, but as it progresses, patients may experience symptoms such as hematuria, proteinuria, and flank pain.

Uratnefropati is often seen in association with gout, a type of arthritis characterized by the deposition of uric acid crystals in the joints. The condition can also be complicated by other renal diseases, such as chronic kidney disease and renal failure. Diagnosis is typically made through a combination of clinical assessment, laboratory tests, and imaging studies.

Treatment of uratnefropati is primarily focused on reducing uric acid levels and mitigating kidney damage. This may involve the use of medications such as allopurinol and febuxostat to decrease uric acid production, as well as uric acid-lowering therapy to dissolve existing urate crystals. Lifestyle modifications, such as a balanced diet and regular exercise, may also be recommended to help manage the condition. In severe cases, kidney transplantation may be necessary.
