Unsegmented is an adjective meaning not divided into segments or parts. It is used across disciplines to describe continuity, lack of subdivision, or the absence of metamerism. The opposite term is segmented or metameric.

In biology, unsegmented describes body plans that lack serial repetition of segments. Many organisms, such as flatworms (Platyhelminthes), have unsegmented bodies, while others, like annelids and arthropods, are clearly segmented. Segmentation provides modularity, and some lineages exhibit functional regionalization without true metamerism.
