ulkoisiksi

Ulkoisiksi is the translative plural form of the Finnish adjective ulkoinen, meaning external or foreign. In Finnish grammar, the translative case (-ksi) marks a change of state or status, roughly “to become X.” Thus ulkoisiksi expresses becoming externals or appearing as externals when used with a plural referent, often in evaluative or descriptive contexts.
